ZERO WASTE ORIGIN

Zero Waste is a project that was started bearing in mind the need for a change in our lifestyles if we want to preserve planet Earth. Six schools from several European countries, namely: Poland, Estonia, Sweden, Romania, Italy and Spain are taking part in the project.

In two previous Erasmus+ projects: Upcycling Lives, developed at IES Canido (2021-2023) and Up cycling: A Project from Bottom to Top, developed at  Szkola Podstawowa Nr w Bieruniu, some  initiatives which we are planning to develop in this new project were born. Some of them, to name but a few, are the planting, harvesting and use of loofah, the production of soap at school, continuing with upcycling workshops, writing emails to different firms to suggest changes in the management of their containers and investigating which initiatives are developed in each participating country in terms of environmental care.

The other schools have brought with them new enriching ideas such as growing a school garden, which will provide us with fresh natural vegetables, using circular economy as much as possible, cooking meal menus with this kind of products, investigating initiatives related to our topic in the vicinity and supporting them, sharing ideas with the other partners.

We wish this blog will be like a book which will get you new knowledge and interest towards the care for the environment. and we hope that the road which we have started will reach the desirable end: Let's Change the World!
